How Do You Get Freelance Clients Starting From Zero
Congrats! You’re ready to start freelancing but you’re not sure how to get clients or how to get started.
If you’re new here, my name is Jennifer Sargeant and I am the creator of Digital Sargeant and Freelance & Financial Freedom Blueprint (F&FFB). F&FFB is a group coaching program where I guide freelancers through the trenches of freelancing – taking them from zero to confidentially freelancing and on a path to a 6-figure income.
While I do have a replay of the webinar, Get Freelance Clients, that shares with you my story and how I got freelance clients – there is an element I left out in the webinar.
While you can post on social media about your freelance business, implement an outreach strategy, and create content that is educational for your audience – there is something else you can to do get freelance clients when starting from zero.
There are a lot of non-profits, local community organizations, and churches that need help with their digital marketing. Reaching out to these organizations and offering your services as a volunteer for a short period of time will give you TONS of experience as a freelancer. An experience that you can then highlight within your strategy to get more freelance clients.
In the video above, I share with you a story about how I started volunteering with a local church and how that relationship grew into one of my first freelancing gigs in 202o.
I highly encourage all freelancers to reach out to such local organizations as a way to start building relationships and momentum for your business.
If you’re looking for a guide to take you through the trenches of freelancing then you’ve come to the right place! Reach out to me today to learn how I can help you achieve freelance & financial freedom.
