How to use TikTok for Your Business.
I never would have imagined that I would be writing a blog post about TikTok for local businesses, or businesses in general, but here I am.
TikTok is my favorite social media platform (which also feels crazy to say out loud …errr to write). Not only is the content incredibly entertaining, the editing tools make creating social media content so easy.
TikTok mastered creating an app entirely for micro-storytelling. Which is why it has taken off so quickly.
The best way for me to explain how to use TikTok for your business, is for me to explain HOW I use TikTok for my business.
My TikTok formula was never anything earth shattering (to be totally honest with you).
I simply posted 3x a day and talk about digital marketing (& occasionally posted videos of our pups). I didn’t consistently lip sync, act, or post dancing videos. I keep my content super unedited, real, and to the point. (I shamelessly admit I did try a couple of lip sync videos and ONE dancing video.)
How should your business use TikTok? Here’s what I’d do (again):
- Tell a micro-story
- Use local hashtags
- Post 3x-5x a day
- Engage with like-minded accounts
- Engage with audience
TikTok is a platform that is growing quickly and the perfect tool to use as an audience connector. A resource to engage and grow your target audience. The way I see it, may as well start dominating local hashtags 😉 and industry hashtags.
